MADISON - The Assembly is planning to meet in an extraordinary session Tuesday where Republicans will likely attempt to override a bill or bills that Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has vetoed.
Democratic leaders said Friday they have been told that the chamber will meet Tuesday morning for a veto override but were not told what bill or bills will be taken up.
A spokesman for Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke confirmed the Assembly will be in session on Tuesday, but did not confirm which bill or bills would be taken up. An Assembly committee will vote by paper ballot Monday afternoon on what bills to take up.
