Have not received No-confidence motion notice: Haryana Assembly Speaker ANI | Updated: Mar 05, 2021 15:21 IST
Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], March 5 (ANI): After Congress said it will move a no-confidence motion against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) government in Haryana, Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta on Friday said that he has not received any motion.
Speaking on the No Confidence motion, Gupta said, As far as No Confidence motion is concerned, till now I have not received any motion if I receive it, we will discuss it after eighteen members support the motion. The Opposition can bring it, we will take it forward as per the norms.

Yamunanagar: RSS leader Darshan Lal Jain, who dedicated his life to social work, died on Monday at the age of 93. Jain, who was also involved in the work to find the mythical river Saraswati, passed away at his residence in Jagadhri in Haryana s Yamunanagar district. He is survived by two sons and two daughters.
He was cremated with state honours. A contingent of police presented guard of honour as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Congress MLA from Haryana’s Kalka constituency Pradeep Chaudhary stands disqualified from January 14, after his conviction by a Himachal Pradesh court in an assault, rioting case.
Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta on Saturday said a notification in this regard has been issued by the Assembly secretariat. “Consequent upon the conviction of Pradeep Chaudhary, MLA, by the court of Jitender Kumar, Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Nalagarh, District Solan…Shri Pradeep Chaudhary, stands disqualified from the membership of Haryana Vidhan Sabha from the date of his conviction, ie January 14, 2021. And accordingly one Assembly seat has fallen vacant,” read the notification.
