When was the notice accepted and converted into a motion? Was the due process, of 29 members standing in favour of the notice on the floor of the House, followed? he asked.
He said the breach of privilege was to be used against those creating hurdles in the functioning of the House.

Mumbai, Dec 15: The Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday extended time for the privileges committeeto submit its report on breach of privilege notices against Republic TV s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami and actress Kangana Ranaut till the last day of the next Legislature session.
Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik submitted the breach of privilege notices against Goswami and Ranaut to the office of the state Assembly speaker on September 7.
Sarnaik had a spat with Ranaut in the past after she compared Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The MLA had also sought re-opening of an alleged abetment to suicide case of 2018 in which Goswami was arrested by Mumbai Police recently.

Mumbai: Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik, who is being probed in a money laundering case, filed a breach of privilege motion against actor Kangana Ranaut on Monday, for her alleged tweet that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had found a Pakistani credit card during its raids at his home. He has also made print, electronic and social media party to the motion for writing false stories based on Kanganaâs tweet.
In his motion submitted to State Assembly Speaker Nana Patole, Sarnaik urged him to refer it to the privileges committee and take necessary action.
