The married former cop, DC X, was formally sacked without notice on Wednesday (February 24) by a panel following its ruling last week that he committed gross misconduct and abused his power and authority. Barrister Julian King told the sanction hearing on Wednesday that no disciplinary action should be taken because of “considerable personal mitigation”, including medical reasons which were not disclosed publicly, and that the purposes of the proceedings were not to impose punishment.
