Contrary to what police initially reported, prosecutors said Jushawn Brown did not return fire during Tuesday’s shooting. Brown, 43, was found with a handgun when police officers asked whether he had anything he wasn’t supposed to have while at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, where the 1-year-old boy was taken after being shot in the head, the Sun-Times reported.

CHICAGO - An  Englewood man faces a felony gun charge in connection with a  road rage shooting on Lake Shore Drive Tuesday that left a toddler critically wounded, according to Chicago police. Jushawn Brown, 43,was in the car with the 1-year-old and pulled out a gun, firing shots at another vehicle, police said. He was arrested in the 200 block of East Huron Street, where Northwestern Memorial Hospital is located. Police have not announced an arrest of the person who shot the toddler.

Alliance presses for police accountability in deaths of FPI members 9th January 2021 ANTARA FOTO/Aprillio Akbar Jakarta (ANTARA) - Some 10 human rights watchdogs grouped in a civil society alliance highlighted the need for the Indonesian police to demonstrate accountability in the deaths of six slain members of the Islam Defenders Front (FPI). Police officers must meet the human rights standards in every action they take, though it is for law enforcement purposes, Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) Coordinator Fatia Maulidiyanti remarked. Kontras, along with nine other human rights defenders in Indonesia, responded to the outcomes of the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM s) probe into the recent fatal shooting of six FPI members in a press statement on Friday.
