“As canvassing is underway in almost all the municipalities in Palawan, we congratulate all Palawenos for participating in this historic voting,” the group said in a statement on Saturday, March 13.
“We call on all stakeholders to remain vigilant until the last return is canvassed and the result of the plebiscite is announced,” added Lente.
On Sunday, March 14, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced that the board of canvassers will reconvene at 2 p.m. on the said day.
“The Provincial Plebiscite Board of Canvassers (PPBOC) yesterday convened at 6 p.m. at the Legislative Session Hall, Legislative Building, Capitol Compound, Puerto Princesa City,” the poll body said in a statement.
