KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and a number of MPs submitted a bill on granting compensation to the owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for the damages they suffered due to the coronavirus crisis.
Al-Ghanim disclosed the bill clearly specifies the beneficiaries to ensure that compensation is granted only to those who truly deserve it. He said another bill is being prepared for employers and expatriate workers to reach an agreement on their situation during the coronavirus crisis. He stressed the need for alternatives to firing a worker or filing a lawsuit against the employer.

John Beck is iHeart’s new top guy in St. Louis. The company named the award-winning radio veteran as its market president in the gateway city.
Beck is the former senior VP at Emmis Communications, where he had oversight of several St. Louis stations.
Katy Pavelonis has been the acting market president and remains as SVP of sales.
A recipient of numerous broadcasting awards, Beck is a former president of the Missouri Broadcasters Association and now chairs its Legislative Affairs Committee; he’s also active in the National Association of Broadcasters, where he has been a board member and served on the NAB Executive Committee.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: Several members of the National Assembly who are accused of taking part in the so-called primaries before the Parliament elections which were organized by some tribes are facing the possibility of their parliamentary immunity being automatically lifted based on the requests of the Public Prosecution in light of the failure of the Parliament to decide on the issue, amid expectations that the legal time limit of 30 days will expire from the date the request was referred. Informed sources warned that in the event these MPs lose their immunity, the cases in question based on the verdicts issued may lose their seat in the Parliament, which opens the door for the possibility of holding by-elections in some constituencies to fill their seats.

Woe unto thee for 2021 when it comes to the Everett City Council trying to have a successful meeting, as technical issues bombarded the board once again and they plowed on without the public being fully able to observe the meeting.
Technical issues have been a hallmark of the Everett Council like no other board or Council anywhere else since COVID-19 started, and though it seemed they had gotten to the other side of the troubles, Monday night’s meeting suddenly fizzled out again as it had previously many times last summer and fall.
