Firearms stolen from unlocked car in Dearborn

A Smith and Wesson SD VE semi-automatic pistol and a Zastava ZPAP 92 pistol were reported stolen between noon Dec. 21 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24 from the trunk of an unlocked Ford Fusion parked in the 23000 block of Cleveland Street in Dearborn. The victim said she left her weapons in her car so she would have them with her when she had time to go to the gun range to practice her marksmanship. Both of the weapons, which were legally registered, were entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network as stolen.

Sunday, Dec. 13 11:44 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the area of West School Road near the Midland/Isabella county Line in reference to a single-vehicle crash. 10:30 p.m. A deputy was sent to a car crash in Jerome Township, though the driver had left the scene. A 9-1-1 caller observed a vehicle leave the scene of the crash. Another deputy located the vehicle that left at a nearby business and made contact with the driver. It was discovered the driver had a suspended license, and they were cited for driving while license suspended, leaving the scene and careless driving.

Crash reveals vehicle stolen out of Waterford Township

A 48-year-old Pontiac woman was jailed after a single-vehicle crash on Walton Boulevard. Deputies were called at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, to Walton and Carlisle Street with the report of the crash. They responded to find a female driver and a male passenger, the Oakland County Sheriff s Office reported. A search of the vehicle in the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) revealed the vehicle had been reported as stolen out of Waterford Township, the sheriff s office said. The subjects were taken into custody without incident. - Advertisement - The passenger was released, and the driver was jailed pending charges. The vehicle was impounded.
