Three hurt in Williamson County crash

  WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) Two children and one adult were hurt in a three vehicle crash Sunday in Williamson County. It happened just before 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of Route 166 and Atlanta Lane. Illinois State Police say 33-year-old Mallory Wright of Creal Springs was northbound on 166 when she crossed the centerline, hitting another vehicle. A third vehicle was forced off the road to avoid the crash; It hit a tree. Wright and two small children in her vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not hurt. Mallory Wright was cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and Improper Lane Usage.

Three People Hurt in Three Vehicle Crash in Williamson Co

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Williamson County. The three people injured all came from the same vehicle. They are listed as 33-year-old Mallory Wright of Creal Springs as well an 8-year-old and a 6-year-old. They all suffered non-life threatening injuries. Troopers say Wright was traveling north on Route 166. The drivers of the other two vehicles were headed south. They are 65-year-old Karolyn Graff of Marion and 52-year-old Sarah Fry of Ozark. The preliminary investigation revealed Wright s vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with Graff s vehicle. Fry s vehicle traveled off the roadway and hit a tree.

Burlington man arrested for DUI

May 5, 2021 Gulfport, Il.-  A Burlington man was arrested Sunday on a DUI charge. According to a news release, a deputy with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on US Rt. 34 at the Great River Bridge in Gulfport. As a result of the stop, 33-year-old Wesley M Huddleston of Burlington was arrested for Aggravated Driving Under the Influence, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, No Valid Driver’s License, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. Huddleston was also arrested on a $3000.00, Henderson County Failure to Appear Warrant. Huddleston was taken to the Henderson County Jail.

Galesburg man injured in single vehicle DUI crash

April 30, 2021 Galesburg, Il-  The Illinois State police have released details of a single-vehicle crash that injured one person. According to a news release, on Wednesday at about 12:45 PM, a 2019 Kenworth semi-truck driven by 65-year-old John Burkhalter of Galesburg was traveling eastbound on IL route 164 between 170th and 180th Street. Burkhalter lost control, left the roadway, and struck four utility poles.  He then continued into Galesburg where he was stopped by officers from Galesburg Police Department. ISP District 14 Troopers arrived and lead the traffic crash investigation. Burkhalter was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  He was later charged with a DUI and issued citations for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
