The minaret of a mosque, falling in the funnel zone of the
Juhu airport as well as the
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport that was endangering runway safety, has been reduced in size after repeated objections from BMC and Airports Authority of India. A funnel zone is an area aligned with the runways along the specific paths followed by flights while landing and takeoff.

There is much anticipation as South Africa gears up for the arrival of the first batch of the Covid-19 vaccine while health workers worry about the number of doses.
The first shipment of one million doses of the Oxford University AstraZeneca vaccines is en route to South Africa after being loaded onto a transport plane in India. The shipment left the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai and is set to arrive in South Africa on 1 February 2021.
