By Mike Leischner Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Despite what was a rough year for many businesses and individuals the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce says over $690,000 in Chamber Gift Certificates were sold in 2020. “Those are dollars which are going to be kept local and spent at a variety of members across the region,” said the Chamber’s Marketing Director Brian Otten. The chamber’s goal is always to sell close to $1 million worth of the certificates every year, which nearly happened in 2019 at over $900,000. Otten says to hit 70% of that goal in what was a less than normal year is a win.
