Snowmobiler hospitalized after colliding with pickup truck in Thumb area crash Updated Feb 07, 2021; Facebook Share SANILAC COUNTY, MI A Sandusky man has been hospitalized after being by a pickup truck while driving a snowmobile, police said. Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a 911 call at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 describing the personal injury traffic crash on Sanilac Road near Townline Road in Moore Township, just west of Sandusky. Upon arrival, deputies learned the 35-year-old snowmobile driver lost control of the 2013 Polaris Snowmobile after the throttle got stuck, according to a Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office news release. He entered the roadway into the path of a westbound 2003 Sierra pickup truck. The 18-year-old Sandusky man driving the pickup truck was unable to avoid a collision with the snowmobile, police said.

Authorities say a suspect broke into a home on East Wellman Line Road near Babcock Road in Worth Township sometime late Monday or early Tuesday. No further details were provided. 1 hospitalized, 1 cited in Thumb-area crash Updated Jan 18, 2021; FREMONT TWP., MI Police have cited a Grand Blanc woman for a traffic crash over the weekend in Sanilac County that left one person in the hospital. Sanilac Central Dispatch received a call shortly before noon Sunday, Jan.17, regarding a personal injury traffic crash at the intersection of East Galbraith Line and Todd roads in Fremont Township, approximately 10 miles southwest of Lexington. Deputies along with Croswell EMS and the Croswell Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. An initial investigation by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office office has determined that a 23-year-old Grand Blanc woman was headed south on Todd Road, north of East Galbraith Line Road, in a 2011 Ford Edge with one passenger inside the vehicle, a 24-year-old Grand Blanc man.
