My grasp on fashion has always been tenuous at best, but over the last few years, I’ve felt a creeping sense of commonality with that world. It’s an oft-repeated truth that wine brings people together, and in this case, it was natural wine that was intriguing both me and legions of models and designers at the same time.
When I first saw Vivanterre wine, with its swoopy, organic shapes on the label on
Vogue, no less the relationship between fashion and natural wine really crystalized for me. The aesthetic was defined.
The line was started by Rosie Assoulin, whose voluminous and colorful evening wear and jewelry won her a 2015 award for Emerging Womenswear Designer from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), and her husband, Max, the CEO and president of Vivanterre. They work with Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau of Domaine La Bohème in France’s Auvergne region.
Timothée Chalamet, More to Host Met Gala
The return of the Met Gala, one of Hollywood’s biggest star-studded events of the year, is cause for celebration.
This year’s event will be a party in multiple parts with the overriding theme will be “Americana”, which will be explored in two exhibits.
The Met Gala will be a smaller, more intimate celebration for the opening of the Costume Institute’s next exhibition, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”, which opens on September 18.
It will devel into the modern vocabulary of American style and emphasizing the expressive qualities of dress and deeper associations with issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

On Monday, the first Monday in May, the day on which the Met Gala is traditionally held, representatives for The Metropolitan Museum of Art confirmed who would be the celebrity co-chairs for the 2021 edition, which will take place on 13 September. The co-chairs will be the Oscar-nominated Call Me By Your Name actor, who is known for his daring fashion choices on the red carpet, Bad Guy singer Eilish, who recently shed her usual baggy clothing for a daring British Vogue cover, inaugural poet Gorman, and tennis star Osaka.
