Dear Petitioner,
Thank you for sharing your considerations with us on behalf of naturalized European citizens of Eritrean ancestry and other Eritreans in Europe at large.
The European Union has been engaging with the Government of the State of Eritrea since 1995 both politically as well through our development cooperation. Our engagement aims at ensuring the stability as well as the prevalence of security and peace in the country and in the region and improving the socio-economic living conditions for the people of Eritrea.
The conflict in Tigray is having terrible consequences on human lives, causing much suffering and destruction. Violence persists, posing serious risks for the stability of Ethiopia and of the entire region. The European Union is engaging to help end the crisis, and contribute to peace and stability in the Horn of Africa, which is a strategic objective we all share.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asks all International travellers to check the border crossing conditions of both the destination and transit country and to assess whether travelling is necessary. States may impose measures to prevent the spread of new strains of the virus at a short notice (including interruption of direct flights, changes in border crossing conditions, etc.).
Before arriving in Estonia, you must fill out a traveller’s questionnaire. The questionnaire can be completed within three days of your arrival in Estonia. This makes border-crossing smoother and you can avoid queueing for filling out the questionnaire on paper.
Three years after the original proposal, the EU’s game-changing Health Technology Assessment (HTA) dossier has at last reached interinstitutional negotiations, but a number of challenges remain.
This important piece of legislation is aimed at helping EU countries determine the effectiveness and value of new technologies and deciding on pricing and reimbursement by health insurers or health systems.
Health technology covers medicines, medical devices and diagnostic tools, surgical procedures, as well as measures for disease prevention, diagnosis or treatment.
The HTA process is currently fragmented, performed by about 50 European HTA agencies across the bloc. Different systems are being used across member states to evaluate new treatments and their prices.
