Print Ten years ago today the world’s most-wanted terrorist, al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, was killed when a team of Navy SEALS raided his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Here is how some San Diegans reacted to the news. Sept. 11 is still fresh in my mind. I remember my initial reaction of sadness, and what was to come in the future. I told my guys, ‘We do this for a reason, and that is to defend our country.’”

Moorhead, Minnesota Mosque Vandalized With Death to Islam On 4/26/21 at 2:06 PM EDT In the middle of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, a mosque in Minnesota was vandalized with anti-Muslim graffiti. Early Sunday morning, police officers in Moorhead, Minnesota, were dispatched to the Islamic Society of Fargo-Moorhead Mosque on a report of vandalism to the building. According to a press release from the Moorhead Police Department, officers found hate messages directed toward the Islamic faith and its followers spray-painted on several areas of the building s exterior. Such messages include Death to Islam, F k Islam and a Nazi swastika symbol.

Among those eyes were those of FBI agents who were keeping tabs on a local Neo-Nazi by the name of JT Ready who was amongst the attendees at the Mesa Arts Center.  Three months later, Ready would kill his girlfriend and her family — including an infant — in a murder-suicide.  “JT Ready was seen speaking with several unidentified subjects at the end of the Republican GOP party debate hosted in Mesa, Arizona,” FBI agents wrote in their report, which was made public under the Freedom of Information Act. “No criminal activity was observed.”
