Nervous Wait For Govt Job Aspirants As UPSC Postpones Civil Services Interview, EPFO, IES And ISSE Exams

Union Public Service Commission announced deferment of its EPFO, IES and ISSE exams and the civil services personality test via a press release on Monday (19 April).
The Employeesâ Provident Fund Organisation (EO/AO), Recruitment Test, 2020 and The Personality Tests (Interviews) of the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination 2020 and the Civil Services Examination, 2020 stand deferred due to the rise in Covid-19 cases.
EPFO exam was to be conducted on 9 May, while IES/ISS personality test was scheduled between 20-23 April, and the Civil Services 2020 personality test would have been held between 26 April and 18 June.

The education minister also said that for Classes 1 to 9, a CCE procedure will be the deciding factor for the promotion of children to the next class.

Despite concerns over increasing COVID-19 cases, Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar on Tuesday confirmed that SSLC exams will be held in the state, as scheduled before. The examinations are slated to be held from June 21 to July 5.
Karnataka is one of the few states which is going ahead with the state board examinations for Class 10 students despite rising COVID-19 cases.

NEW DELHI: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Monday announced the cancellation of ICSE, reversing an earlier decision to defer the exam and giving students the option to take it at a later date. However, the ISC exam stands postponed, the board clarified in a letter sent to schools.
No change has been made to the schedule yet. However, the education minister has stated that an appropriate decision will be taken giving priority to the health of students.
West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) will hold WB Class 10 Board Exam 2021 from June 1 to June 10, 2021. WBCHSE will conduct WB Class 12 Board Exam 2021 from June 15 to June 30, 2021.

COVID-19: CISCE cancels ICSE class 10 board examination
NEW DELHI : In wake of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Tuesday announced the cancellation of the class 10 board examination.
However, the status of exams for class 12 remains the same as the previous order- the class 12 examination will be conducted at a later date in offline mode.
“Given the present worsening situation of the Covid- 19 Pandemic in the country, the CISCE has decided to cancel the ICSE (Class X) 2021 examination. The options given in the earlier Circular dated April 16, 2021, now stands withdrawn. The safety and wellbeing of our students and teaching faculty is our topmost priority and of paramount interest,” the council said in a statement.
