OSU Board Approves Reser Stadium Renovation, Pathway To Fall Plan, And More

Credit Oregon State University The Oregon State University Board of Trustees has approved plans for returning to on-site learning this fall, the renovation of Reser stadium, and announced their intentions in the search for the university s next president. At the May 21 meeting the board discussed the university’s “pathway to fall plan.” It outlines how the university will deliver classroom instruction and other university services through the coming year. The plan provides for some flexibility in setting levels of on-site activities in response to the status of COVID-19 in local communities where the university operates. The approved $153 million plan to fully renovate the west side of Reser stadium includes construction of a welcome center for new and prospective students and a wellness clinic, which will be operated in a proposed partnership with Samaritan Health Services.

OSU s Reser Stadium renovation to cost more than $324 5 million

The Reser Stadium renovation approved by the Oregon State University Board of Trustees will cost more than $324.5 million over the 50-year lifespan of the renovation, according to the university. The $153 million initial construction cost of the renovation publicized by the university, which includes a new student welcome center, a conference space and medical facility, is only part of the total cost, of course. There will also be more than $60 million in interest payments, $51 million for a midlife renewal and $60.3 million in added operating costs over 50 years, based on university estimates provided to Mid-Valley Media. OSU leadership expects a windfall of new revenue from premium seating at OSU football games, conference rentals, increased enrollment and the medical facility to pay for the project and then some â with enough left over to cover the $35 million pandemic-related deficit the athletic department is already facing.

Reser Stadium Open for Vaccines Again May 18, 2021 Benton County and Samaritan Health Services are partnering to host another round of mass COVID-19 vaccinations at Reser Stadium on the Oregon State University campus Wednesday, May 19, through Friday, May 21. The clinic schedule is as follows: Wednesday, May 19, from 11:00 a.m – 4:00 p.m. – First and second doses of Pfizer Thursday, May 20, from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. – First doses of Pfizer and Teen Day Friday, May 21, from 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. – First doses of Pfizer, and Second doses of Pfizer and Moderna Clinics will have drop-in appointments each day, and no identification is needed to be vaccinated at a clinic. Individuals do not have to be permanent residents to get the vaccine.
