On Apr. 6, ESET published an advisory on a malware, whcich has been in development since 2018.
Named Janeleiro, the Trojan is focused on Brazil as a hunting ground and has been used in cyberattacks against corporate players in sectors such as engineering, healthcare, finance, retail, and manufacturing.
Operators have also tried to use the malware when infiltrating government systems.

According to the advisory published by the researchers at ESET, the Trojan is similar to those that are currently operating across the country, such as Casbaneiro, Mekotio, and Grandoreiro, but it is the first one to be detected that is written in .NET instead of in Delphi, which is more common.

(Picture: Reuters) A security researcher has revealed that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg uses Signal app. Mark Zuckerberg also respects his own privacy, by using a chat app that has end-to-end encryption and isn t owned by Facebook, Dave Walker wrote on Twitter.
Facebook co-founders Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz were also among the affected users whose data was leaked in the Facebook breach.

China appeared to have blocked the encrypted messaging app Signal, adding it to the long list of foreign platforms not accessible in the Asian country due to the Great Firewall. According to Washington Post, the platform was often used by dissidents, activists, and journalists.
Signal allows messages to be sent with end-to-end encryption , which blocks anyone but the sender and receiver from reading the contents. The app has soared in popularity in recent months as fears have grown over data harvesting from large internet companies.
