The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) reported 91 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Wyoming during their 3 pm Monday, April 26 update. The WDH has not been providing updates over the weekends. There have been 48,852 total confirmed cases in Wyoming since the pandemic began. Probable cases rose 31 on Monday to a total of 8,966. Two additional confirmed cases were reported in Natrona County on Monday, where the tally stands at 5,912 confirmed cases. Probable cases rose by nine to 2,019. Article continues below. The number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 rose to 22 on Monday, up from 21 on Sunday, according to the WDH. Hospitalizations peaked in Wyoming on Nov. 30, 2020 at 247.

Some 750 people have joined a Facebook group that sprang up after the NCSD school board meeting on Monday, according to Jamie Bates, one of the organizers. “We decided that we wanted to hold a gathering a peaceful gathering at the next board meeting,” said Bates. Bates says the Facebook group “NCSD Variance Discussion” and the protests came in part out of frustration with the NCSD board meeting, where she feels that parents were not heard.
