Start Fort Wayne is engaged in a new initiative to promote and support business ownership and it includes seeking input through a survey.
The non-profit organization is working with the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne to launch what it calls an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Strategy for Allen County.
Start Fort Wayne s mission is to help entrepreneurs turn ideas into growth-oriented businesses. A survey has been created to collect data on and elevate the importance of entrepreneurship in the county, a Wednesday news release said.
Dan Swartz, executive director of Start Fort Wayne, said developing a strategy is key to ensuring the long-term growth for the regional economy.

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â The Branch County Community Foundation has partnered with the Sturgis Area Community Foundation and the Three Rivers Area Community Foundation to sponsor a free Tax Seminar for local professional advisors presented by David Bennett from the Community Foundation Research and Training Institute.
The seminar will include information on the Tax Reform Act of 2017, Potential Biden Administration tax changes and charitable giving, qualified charitable distributions and gifts from retirement assets, and legislative updates on the SECURE Act and CARES Act.
The virtual event will take place on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m..
