OSWEGO COUNTY â Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang announced Monday, July 12, that five additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19 this past week. This brings the total cumulative number of positive cases since the county began monitoring for COVID-19 in March 2020 to 8,136. There are currently three active positive cases.
âWhile Oswego Countyâs new case counts have remained low in the last weeks, the pandemic is not over yet,â said Huang. âIn the coming months, we must continue combating COVID-19 virus. In this continuous fight, the vaccine is the important weapon to contain the virus.â

IRMO, S.C. An Irmo police officer was injured on duty, but that didn t deter him from wanting to do his job.
Sgt. John Hendricks has been with the Irmo Police Department for 14 years. He currently leads the Community Services Division.
Back in May, he was faced with a bump in the road. While working an off-duty job, Hendricks and another officer responded as backup to a man barricaded in his home.
