Reduced gas prices, free gas cards offered at Michigan Marathon station

ROYAL OAK, MI – Reduced gas prices and free gas cards are available at a Michigan gas station for a limited time.
As a Merry Christmas to the public, Community Choice Credit Union announced it’s partnered with the Marathon station at 12 Mile and Crooks in Royal Oak to cover $0.50 per gallon off for every customer between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
The credit union will also randomly pass out another $450 in free gas cards, according to Fox 2 in Detroit.

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) â A Marathon gas station in Royal Oak will offer customers reduced gas prices and free gas cards Tuesday.
Community Choice Credit Union says it will cover the bill for $0.50 off per gallon for every customer, while $1,500 in funds last. The credit union will also randomly pass out another $450 in free gas cards.
The grassroots effort to incentivize the general public to support small businesses in their communities during Christmas week will take place at the Marathon on 12 Mile and Crooks from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A man was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay nearly $200,000 in restitution last month for leaving a traffic crash while fleeing police that injured a St. Clair Shores woman.
Mack Cox, 27, of St. Clair Shores, previously pleaded no contest in Macomb County Circuit Court to failing to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in serious impairment, a five-year felony; second-degree fleeing police, a 10-year felony; and resisting arrest, a two-year felony, according to court records.

A charge of theft of a financial transaction device in connection with that case and charges in two other cases were dismissed as part of a plea deal with Macomb prosecutors.
