Ameren donation helps Logan County homeowners

The Courier Lincoln, Ill. – Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL) received a $20,000 grant from Ameren Illinois to support the procurement of materials needed for Workcamp for Lincoln that will take place across the community this summer. As part of a partnership with a national organization called Group Mission Trips, the workcamp will bring youth from across the country to Logan County to complete home repairs for 60 to 70 homes. The focus will be on low-income, veterans and disabled and support local businesses through the purchase of materials at local suppliers. Homeowners living in Logan County that may qualify for these free home repairs can visit www.capcil.info and click on the Client Kiosk Button to apply. Once the application is received, it will be reviewed for eligibility. Eligible homeowners will then be contacted with next steps.

CAPCIL Cheeseburger event scheduled May 1 The Courier Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois biggest fundraiser “Cheeseburger in Paradise” is planning to return in 2021. The annual event is scheduled from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 1 at the Lincoln Banquet Center, 201 Madigan Dr., in Lincoln. CAPCIL Director of Agency Development, Breann Titus said the 2020 event was cancelled due to the pandemic and the agency felt the loss. “This event is a fun night for our community supporters to celebrate the agency’s impact and success. This event also provides vital financial resources each year that help us maintain program success, provide crisis or emergency services, and helps us through challenging times including funding delays. This event is the cornerstone of our agency fundraising efforts,” said Titus.

Integrity Data helps Holy Family Food Pantry and CAPCIL

The Courier Two not-for-profit organizations in Lincoln will benefit from the Community Giving program offered by Integrity Data. Holy Family Food Pantry and Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL) were named as the recipients of this year’s grant. Integrity Data, which also has remote employees in Fargo, North Dakota, also named Fix It Forward in Fargo, ND as a recipient. The funds, awarded from an Integrity Data employee giving fund, will be distributed during the month of December. Keith Snyder, Chief Operations Officer at Integrity Data, said he is proud of the Integrity Data team. “Helping and giving back are at the heart of everything Integrity Data does.  It’s only through the efforts of our amazing team that this program is funded and the recipients are selected.  Integrity Data is honored to support these worthy projects,” said Snyder.
