The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is seeking a President for its Connecticut market to join our dynamic team and do life changing work.

As President of the Connecticut market, you will engage community leaders throughout the territory in achieving Society priorities most importantly, in raising funds. You will passionately and effectively communicate about the Society s research, services and advocacy strategies and the Society s impact on the lives of people affected by MS. You would ensure a deep understanding of the communities in this territory and an ability to engage with a wide range of people. You will be based out of our office in Hartford, Connecticut.

After the first day of voting, candidates for Student Association leadership have received less than half the votes cast last year by the same time.
As of Monday night, about 2.1% of the student population had cast their votes in the election, which includes the first president and vice president campaign to run unopposed since 2015. After the first day of voting last year, about 4.9% of students had voted. The election needs at least 10% of students to vote for the results to be valid.
SA to vote on resolution urging SU to expand mental health resources

The resolution aims to acknowledge that the two Wellness Days SU offered this semester are not a sufficient break for students.

Student Association will vote on a resolution next week that would acknowledge students’ increased stress and urge Syracuse University to impose institutional solutions, including the option to take classes pass/fail.
The resolution encourages faculty members to be understanding of the circumstances students are in and offer resources to help. The option to take classes pass/fail would alleviate stress students are feeling about how the pandemic has impacted their academic performance, the resolution reads.

Wild for Wareham,” a collaboration by the Wareham Land Trust, Mass Audubon, and Buzzards Bay Coalition’s Onset Bay Center is a full week of outdoor activities highlighting all of the natural wonders that Wareham has to offer. The programs run during school vacation (April 17 – 24, 2021). Some of the events are funded by grants from organizations including the Wareham Cultural Council and the Southeast New England Program (SNEP) of the EPA; some are co-sponsored by additional organizations including the Wareham Garden Club & the Wareham Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Committee (see individual links for program details & partnerships).
