UMass hockey taking National Championship trophy on summer ballpark tour >UMass will take its national championship trophy on a tour of New England ballparks over the course of the next few weeks. CHRIS TUCCI/UMASS ATHLETICS Staff Reports The UMass hockey program is taking its show on the road. The Minutemen will show off their 2021 national championship trophy on a summer ballpark tour of New England diamonds. The trophy will hit five New England ballparks, beginning July 31 at the Valley Blue Sox MacKenzie Stadium and culminating with a trip to Fenway Park for a Boston Red Sox game Sept. 6. August will feature trophy tour stops at Bullens Field in Westfield, home of the Westfield Starfires (Aug. 3), Polar Park in Worcester, home of the Worcester Red Sox (Aug. 12) and Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford, home of the Hartford Yard Goats (Aug. 19). The national championship trophy will be available for photo opportunities at all stops of the tour, excluding Fenway Park.

Alexandra Papazian, Ballet Arizona’s Education & Community Engagement Manager, says the organization saw a need in the community that could be filled with dance. “We are an art form that was born in French Italian courts. It wasn’t really brought to people until much later in its history. Even still, there are barriers that exist to participating in dance classes, Papazian said.

Author: Grace Holland Updated: 12:15 AM EDT July 17, 2021 BURLINGTON, N.C. Restaurants and other businesses faced a long night as Burlington lifted a boil water advisory Friday. The problem forced more than 800 businesses in the area to close for a day and a half as the city investigated possible E.Coli contamination.  The City of Burlington flushed out the water system for the apartment complex in question and then tested it again for the bacteria. The test took just over 24 hours to complete. The city said the tests came back clean. As of Friday evening, no E. Coli is present in the city s water distribution system. 

Rohde Center food pantry receives new refrigeration unit as part of Kooler Kids program | Health Matters

ADAMS — On Wednesday morning, the Rohde Center, 2 East Church St., received a commercial grade refrigerator for its food pantry, along with several thousand dollars in donations, as part of an initiative known as the “Kooler Kids” program, created to supply dairy products and perishable food to local families. This donation came from a partnership between Balchem, Dairy Farmers of America, Gold Star Feed and Grain in Adams Center, and Chobani Yogurt and was brought to the Rohde Center in part due to a nomination from Butterville Farms. Donald Brown, Community Engagement Manager at Chobani, brought 40 cases of Chobani yogurt to help stock the new refrigeration unit.
