Community Monuments Fund 2021 - Call for Projects
The Community Monuments Fund was first established in 2020 to provide investment in Ireland’s archaeological heritage.
Part of this funding is prioritised for local authorities, private owners and custodians and community groups for the care, conservation, maintenance, protection and promotion of archaeological monuments.

Minister for Heritage, Malcolm Noonan, launches â¬2 million 2021 Community Monuments Fund
Malcolm Noonan, T.D, Minister of State for Heritage and Electoral Reform, today launched the 2021 Community Monuments Fund which will invest â¬2 million in the protection and promotion of archaeological heritage during 2021. The â¬2 million allocation is an increase of 75% on last yearâs funding.
The grants available under the Community Monuments Fund will help custodians and owners of archaeological monuments to safeguard them into the future for the benefit of local communities and the visiting public. In addition they will provide support for heritage professions and job opportunities in building conservation and other traditional skills.
