KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Youth Council (SYC) and its 17 affiliates received grants totaling RM2.55 mil from the Sabah government on Sunday (July 4).
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the funds will allow them to carry out youth programmes as well as coordinate support activities during Phase One of the National Recovery Plan.
He said this in a statement released after witnessing the presentation of the annual grants by state Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ellron Alfred Angin at Arena Belia, Kepayan here.
The ceremony was held in conjunction with the Chief Minister’s visit to the Youth Centre to see the mobilisation of the Dapur Belia 4.0 (Youth Kitchen) programme, which is a coordinated effort between the government, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and the community to assist affected youths.

Sdn. Bhd. through its collaboration with Malaysia Airports will be providing state-of-the-art COVID-19 screening facilities at KLIA which includes an onsite COVID-19 laboratory in the Airport itself. This will allow test results to be churned out much quicker and passengers can therefore look forward to a shorter waiting time upon arrival.
