The areas that will be impacted includes the Huasna area of San Luis Obispo County, it is located east of the Nipomo area and along Highway 166. The utility company says they will open two Community Resource Centers to provide information, device charging, WiFi support, restrooms, bottled water and snacks along with other amenities.

As of 9:23 a.m., PG&E said 441 customers on the Central Coast were impacted by the five PSPS-related outages. The company previously warned of possibly outages between Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening as strong, damaging winds are expected in the area. In the Cambria area, another 50 customers were without power off Highway 46, but PG&E says this was not a planned outage and is possibly wind-related.

PG&E Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is open and the company’s meteorologists are monitoring the situation. In addition to the potential for a PSPS event in parts of PG&E service area, strong and gusty winds may cause flying debris and vegetation which can impact power lines and cause additional outages.

The resource centers say they giveaways will begin Monday and extend through Saturday at various locations. Organizers say the first distribution will be a Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Giveaway beginning at 2 p.m. Monday in Summerville. This distribution will take place at the Summerville Family YMCA, which organizers say is located at 208 W. Doty Ave in Summerville.
