10 December: Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) says it has approved the registration of Pfizer-BioNTech s Covid-19 vaccine in the kingdom. The approval was based on the data provided by Pfizer on 24 November.
7 December: The first group of Umrah performers from outside the country have arrived in Madina, including 135 visitors from Indonesia. The visitors have been quarantined for three days and their entry will be managed using the Eatmarna Umrah mobile app.
6 December: The Assistant Health Minister and official spokesperson of the Saudi Health Ministry, Muhammad al-Abdulaali, has stated that Saudi Arabia has signed very important contracts with companies developing the coronavirus vaccine , adding that the registration mechanism for taking the vaccine will be announced soon.

Figures released last week by the Internal Security Forces showed a 51-percent increase in domestic violence calls to its hotline since the start of COVID-19. The impact of the health pandemic on society has shone a spotlight on domestic and gender-based violence in Lebanon.
The ISF revealed the figures to coincide with the UN’s international #16days campaign to end gender-based violence. The report revealed a rise in cases of family violence, including the concerning figure of 14 percent of abused women to be under the age of 18.
KPK seizes documents found in searches at Batubara s residences 10th December 2020

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) seized several documents following searches conducted at four different locations during the investigation of a bribery case involving Social Affairs Minister Juliari Peter Batubara and several other suspects.
On Tuesday (December 8), the Commission s Investigation Team conducted a forced search of the private home and official residence of Batubara as a suspect in addition to two company offices suspected of collaborating with the Ministry of Social Affairs in distributing social assistance packages.
