Fanned out across a display table, palm-sized brooches of late iconic Egyptian movie stars piqued the interest of the crowd strolling through the marketplace of the Red Sea’s El Gouna Film Festival (GFF).
Fouad El Mohandess, Shweikar, Ragaa El Geddawy, Ahmed Zaki and Hassan Hosny were some of Egypt’s most beloved celebrities. They owned the big and small screen for decades, seeping into the hearts of millions across the Arab world.

Relevant agencies have jointly issued visas for nearly 3,000 foreigners comprising experts, investors, managers and highly-skilled employees to enter HCMC for work since July this year,
according to data from the HCMC Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Earlier, during the first half of the year, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic prevented the city from receiving foreign experts and skilled laborers. The city only began receiving foreign laborers from July.

Arab League calls for release of Palestinian prisoners during pandemic

The League of Arab States again called for the need to exert pressure on Israel to release Palestinian prisoners, especially the elderly, the sick, and people with weak immunity, in line with the rules of international humanitarian law stipulated in the Fourth Geneva Convention on the protection of prisoners rights in times of epidemics.
This came in a statement issued yesterday on the occasion of International Human Rights Day.
