Jeep India revealed the new version of the Jeep Compass on 7 January. The company had also opened the bookings for the car. The company has now revealed that the prices of the new Compass will be revealed on 27 January. The company may also start delivering the new Compass from the same day or earlier next month.
FCA India had claimed last week that the company had already begun production of the new version of Compass at the company s joint venture manufacturing facility in Ranjangaon, near Pune. The company also claimed that the SUVs will be reaching dealerships soon.

The year 2020 was extremely challenging for the automobile sector, and we now have a clear picture of what it looked like as passenger vehicle sales dropped by 17.85 per cent year-on-year. According to the data shared by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), passenger vehicle sales stood at 24,33,464 units between January-December 2020, as against 29,62,115 units sold during the same period in 2019. The near 18 per cent decline has been recorded by the sector for the second consecutive year since PV sales were down in 2019 as well due to a struggling economy and low buying sentiment.

While releasing the wholesale numbers for December and the third quarter (October-December) of the current fiscal, the industry body said high levels of uncertainty remain in the industry due to COVID-19 situation and shortage of critical components like semiconductors.
SIAM noted that sales improvement in December and the third quarter did not convey the actual picture of the auto industry, which continues to face severe headwinds.
Passenger vehicle wholesales in India slipped to a ten-year low in the April-December this fiscal, and the industry will have to work hard to regain better volumes and business health, industry body SIAM said on Thursday.
