The Delhi transport department has made it compulsory for all the vehicles in the state sold before April 2019 to have high-security number plate (HSRP) and colour-coded sticker. This is in line with the order issued by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) that mandates all vehicles in the country sold before 1 April 2019 to have a high security registration plate and colour coded stickers. The authorities in have started enforcing this rule in nine out of 11 districts in the national capital and violators are being fined ₹5,500. Nov YoY passenger vehicle sales rises, but car off-take down 2.77% (Roundup)

However, the sales momentum slowed on the sequential basis.
According to industry data released on Friday, passenger vehicles sales increaed by 4.65 per cent in November on YoY basis. The category includes sub-segments of cars, utility vehicles and vans.
A total of 264,898 passenger vehicles were sold in the domestic market from an off-take of 253,139 units sold during the like period of 2019.
Nevertheless, the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) showed a sequential growth in sales during October.
In October, a total of 3,10,294 passenger vehicles were sold in the domestic market.
