(Shutterstock) LA GRANGE, IL La Grange is seeing a lower rate of increase in coronavirus cases, but still experiencing about 100 more cases weekly, according to the Cook County Public Health Department. As of Sunday, La Grange, including La Grange Highlands, had a total of 1,397 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, up 100 from a week earlier. The three previous weeks saw increases of 99, 135 and 100 coronavirus cases, according to health department numbers.

(Shutterstock) BUFFALO GROVE, IL A woman was killed Tuesday night after her car struck a tree at Lake Cook and Weidner roads in Buffalo Grove. The 59-year-old Arlington Heights resident was rushed to Northwest Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner s Office. Buffalo Grove police identified the name of the deceased Wednesday morning as Jeneane Richards. The single-car accident, which happened at around 7:10 p.m., shut down Lake Cook Road in both directions at Weidner Road. The Buffalo Grove police and fire departments both responded to the scene.

(Shutterstock) LA GRANGE, IL La Grange saw a lower rate of increase in coronavirus cases in the last week, according to the Cook County Public Health Department. As of Sunday, La Grange, including La Grange Highlands, had 1,297 virus cases since the beginning of the pandemic, up 8 percent from the week before. This is lower than the two previous weeks increases of 13 percent and 10 percent, respectively. Since early October, La Grange s cases have increased 166 percent. The number of those who have recovered is unavailable.
