Reginald Brown was arrested Tuesday morning on one count of arson and two counts of first-degree murder. Brown has yet to enter pleas to the charges, and it was unclear Thursday if he had an attorney. The Feb. 28 fire gutted a single-family home in Chicago s Gresham section, leaving four other people injured, according to authorities.

(Glenview Police Department) GLENVIEW, IL A 3-year-old Northbrook boy died Tuesday in Glenview, and his death is under investigation. Ellis J. Modjeski, 3, of the 1000 block of Longaker Road, Northbrook, was pronounced dead at Glenbrook Hospital after being taken there from a pediatric office in the 2500 block of Compass Road, Glenview, according to a news release. The Glenview Fire Department picked up Modjeski at 10:23 a.m. He died at 12:52 p.m. at the hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner s Office. The cause of death is unknown at this time. The death is being investigated by the Glenview Police Department and the CCME.
