RESTON, Va. - Cabinet sales rose 17.9% in March 2021 compared to the last year, continuing the trend of year-over-year sales growth for the industry. According to participating members in the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association s monthly Trend of Business Survey, custom sales were up 19.1%, semi-custom increased 20.3% and stock sales increased 16.1% in March compared to the same period in 2020.
Cabinet sales were also on the rise in the month-to-month comparison, KCMA reported. Overall sales were up 25.2% in March compared to February. Custom sales were up 21.5%, semi-custom sales up 20.3%, and stock sales increased 29.6%.
The KCMA Trend of Business Survey participants include stock, semi-custom, and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 75% of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. According to participating members in the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association s monthly Trend of Business Survey, custom sales were up 19.3%, semi-custom increased 12.5% and stock sales increased 9.6% in December compared to the same period in 2019. When looking at the month-to-month comparison, cabinet sales held fairly steady, the KCMA reported. Overall sales were down 0.2% in December 2020 compared to November. Custom sales increased 1.8%, semi-custom sales decreased 2.2% and stock sales increased 0.7%.
