COVID-related deaths in Lake County rise by 3
Three Lake County residents were among the state’s latest reported deaths attributed to the COVID-19 coronavirus, according to Wednesday’s update from the Florida Department of Health.
However, due to the state transitioning to a new method of reporting deaths on the DOH website, details about the local fatalities COVID-related fatality were not immediately available and DOH offices in Tallahassee and Lake County did not respond to emails seeking information.
The latest reported local deaths raised the area total to 366 residents who died after being previously diagnosed with COVID-19. Two-hundred-five hailed from Lake County and 101 lived in Sumter.
