Gardaí from Naas and Clane seize €40k of drugs while on patrol

Gardaí from Naas and Clane seized cannabis with an estimated street value of up to €40,000 while on patrol in Clane last Saturday.
Two large bags of cannabis were put on display by gardaí.
A man was arrested and is scheduled to appear at Naas Court early next month.
Kildare Gardaí said: The seizure was made during proactive patrols by gardaí aimed at supporting our communities and keeping people safe.
Meanwhile Naas Roads Policing detected the driver of a vehicle travelling at 141 km/h in a 100 km/h zone during rainfall last night.

Meanwhile two arrests were made for dangerous driving and drug driving during a recent operation by Naas and Athy gardaí.
Seven motorists were detected exceeding speed limits in the operation targeting dangerous and anti-social driver behaviour in Co Kildare by Naas and Athy Roads Policing Units.
Naas Gardaí stop car on N7 and make surprise discovery in vehicle

Naas Roads Policing observed this driver on their phone while on the N7.
Inside the driver s car they found a number of items of clothing that officers established had been stolen from Naas.
A court appearance has been set for the theft.
A Fixed Charge Penalty Notice was issued for the mobile phone offence.
Separately, Naas Roads Policing found a driver travelling at a speed of 163km/h in a 100km/h zone.
The driver was arrested and charged with Dangerous Driving and will appear in court soon.
