Three fines in three weeks for fly-tipping louts in Newark and Sherwood

Three fines in three weeks, totalling £1,200, have been handed out for fly-tipping offences in Newark and Sherwood.
Newark and Sherwood District Council is warning residents to take responsibility for their own waste, after rubbish has been found dumped in the countryside on multiple occasions.
The owner of a business from Mansfield was fined £400 for failing to take the appropriate steps to prevent its rubbish from being fly-tipped.

In this particular case, the business was sub-contracted by a landlord to remove rubbish belonging to its tenants in Newark.
