Ariel Young, the five-year-old girl who was injured in a car crash involving former Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach Britt Reid remains “unresponsive,” even though she has awoken from her coma.
Ariel’s family revealed Monday that after 11 days in a coma, the 5-year-old finally woke up.
On Thursday, a spokesperson for the Kansas City police told PEOPLE magazine that Ariel is “now breathing on her own but remains unresponsive.” When asked to elaborate, the spokesperson said no further information would be given.
As previously reported, Ariel was inside a Chevrolet Traverse that was struck by Reid’s Dodge Ram pickup truck on Feb. 4. The Traverse was pulled over on a highway entrance ramp when the crash occurred.
Michael Strahan is taking precautions and is in quarantine following his COVID-19 diagnosis.

Michael Strahan has been absent from Good Morning America all week because he is in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.
The NFL Hall of Famer reportedly found out he has the virus last Saturday. He realised that he was exposed sometime last week and immediately went into quarantine. Sources for TMZ shared that he plans to return to the show albeit remotely, to talk about his diagnosis. Thankfully, he currently does not have any symptoms.
His family is also taking precautions, especially his daughters and his ex-wife Jean Muggli. His children were in contact with him after he was exposed. The girls, in turn, have been staying at their mum s house. They have already gotten the test and have yet to get their results.

Snoop Dogg, Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry and retired NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, will represent the AFC and be among the competitive gamers in this year’s virtual Pro Bowl, which will be played Sunday, Jan. 31, on the
Madden NFL 21 video game.
The All-Star Game, which is held annually between the AFC and NFC conferences, was canceled this year due to COVID-19. As such, the gamers will be using the players selected to the 2020 Pro Bowl roster.
