Belarus attends EUROSAI Congress 2021 MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) - Chairman of the State Control Committee Vasily Gerasimov took part in the 11th Congress of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) held via video conference on 14 April, BelTA learned from the State Control Committee. Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) and representatives of international organizations considered reports on the activities of EUROSAI, its working and special groups for the last three years, reports of EUROSAI auditors, as well as the implementation of the EUROSAI Strategic Plan for 2017-2024. “This document defines the strategic goals of the organization: support for the effective, innovative and sound auditing through stimulating professional cooperation, assistance to SAIs in seizing new opportunities and addressing emerging challenges through the development of institutional capacity,” the committee said.

Presently, the panel consists of 13 countries India, Germany, Chile, China, United Kingdom, France, Philippines, Switzerland, Italy, Ghana, Indonesia, Canada and Russia. The CAG of India was initially elected as Chairman of the Panel for 2020. As the chairman, the CAG of India plays a key role in achieving the panel s objective of greater degree of collaboration and coordination, and exchange of information on audit methods and findings, among the Panel members.

SAI meeting to highlight action plan for managing plastic waste By: ONA Muscat: The State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution (SAI), is taking part in the 20th meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA), which is taking place through video conferencing with the participation of the working group members. The meeting agenda covers several practical and interactive sessions in matters, such as discussing aspects related to Circular Economy and its effectiveness in reducing resources waste and reviewing international experiences and observations on recycling nutrients and regenerative agriculture. The meeting will also discuss the action plan for managing plastic waste, review an audit case on agricultural circular economy projects and highlight challenges related to audit of plastic waste management.
