WTTC and World Economic Forum Reinforce Partnership

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and the World Economic Forum, announced a reinforced partnership to promote the importance of the sustainable growth of the global Travel & Tourism sector.
The strategic partnership will see enhanced collaboration between WTTC and the Forum, with the overall aim of advancing the Safe & Seamless Traveller Journey programme, a major priority for WTTC, developing and advancing projects to increase Travel & Tourism competitiveness and sustainability, supporting one another’s work relating to the future of work, and collaboration with regards to crisis and resilience.
Collaboration between the two organisations will take the form of shared information and mutual collaboration, which leverage their respective areas of expertise, to produce forward-looking major reports, mutual support for events and conferences such as the WTTC Global Summit, which will take place in C

The World Economic Forum s Mining and Metals Blockchain Initiative has released a unique proof of concept to trace emissions across the value chain using distributed ledger technology
The initiative is a collaboration between seven global companies and the World Economic Forum that aims to accelerate an industry solution for supply chain visibility and ESG requirements
The proof of concept was developed in collaboration with industry experts to test the technical feasibility of the idea.
Geneva, Switzerland, 15 December 2020 - The World Economic Forum s Mining and Metals Blockchain Initiative ( MMBI ), released a proof of concept that uses distributed ledger technology to track embedded greenhouse gas emissions.
