PBM inks MoU with IIU to help out students

Islamabad : Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Islamic University (IIU) to keep the deserving students on their educational track.
PBM Managing Director Malik Zaheer Abbas and IIUI President Dr. Hathal Hamoud Al-Otaibi signed the agreement to support the poor students in IIUI.
Addressing the ceremony, Malik Zaheer Abbas said that PBM is leading the country towards a social welfare state as envisioned by Prime Minister Imran Khan, with its eminent pro-poor services like medical treatment of poor patients suffering from cancer, hepatitis, cardiac, kidney dialyses, thalassemia and other diseases, educational stipends for underprivileged students, women empowerment, eradication of child labour, support to disabled persons, provision of education, food, clothing, and other basic needs of life to orphan and deprived children, Panahgahs for the needy persons, meals on whee

ISLAMABAD: Ulema, mashaykh and religious scholars have vowed cooperation for implementing Paigham-e-Pakistan code of conduct for creating religious harmony in the country. They appealed to people to abide by the code of conduct, saying that the Paigham-e-Pakistan draft was a unanimously approved document, prepared in the light of the constitution of Pakistan. “To introduce the Paigham-e-Pakistan draft among masses, public gatherings, ulema and mashaykh conventions, joint gatherings of leadership of different religions and religious sects would be held across country,” said Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council and Special Aide to Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Middle East Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi while addressing the Paigham-e-Pakistan action plan conference at the International Islamic University Islamabad here on Thursday.

Islamabad : Calling for a peaceful and inclusive Pakistani society, Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri has said the religious minorities in the country are enjoying complete religious freedom in line with the Constitution.

The horrific, viral video of a man barging inside a house to unleash violence upon a couple is an astounding reminder that rape is a saga of power, not lust. Had the abominable gangster, Usman Mirza, been merely tempted by promiscuous clothes–a highly problematic premonition–he would not have blackmailed them for money. He would not have recorded his heinous act and proudly showcased it to the world.
Call it the influence of the masses but the uproar on social media forced the Islamabad police to rattle out of its complacency. Mirza and his accomplices were promptly arrested.
