NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday formed a four-member committee to resolve the deadlock between the Centre and farmer unions over the three new agriculture laws. However, the farmers have refused to negotiate with the committee, which comprises two experts and two farmer leaders. The farmer leaders have said that all members of the panel have expressed support for the contentious laws.
Here s a look at the four members of the SC-appointed committee:
Bhupinder Singh Mann, President of Bhartiya Kisan Union; Anil Ghanwat, President of Shetkari Sangthana, Maharashtra; Pramod Kumar Joshi, director for South Asia, International Food Policy Research Institute, and agriculture economist Ashok Gulati have been named in the panel.

New Delhi: The farmer unions on Tuesday announced that they won’t accept the committee formed by Supreme Court for mediation between the kisan representatives and the government.
