Former judoka and diplomat guiding Mongolia s MMA development Wednesday, 17 March 2021
Former diplomat Pantii Gankhuyag is spearheading Mongolia’s campaign to become a leading member of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).
He is President of the national governing body in Mongolia, recently given observation status by the IMMAF Board, and has launched a four-year strategic plan towards the development of coaches and cultivation to mixed martial arts athletes to a competition level.
Gankhuyag has also set the target of widening cooperation among domestic martial arts groups toward integration at the international level.
Gankhuyag is a member of the Mongolian Democratic Party and was formerly a diplomat in Japan.

Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) scene will be getting back to the drawing board to develop a power packed strategy for the sport next year.
As such, Malaysia Mixed Martial Arts Association (MASMMAA) president Rashid Salleh told Bernama that the association will focus on developing the grassroots and foundation for amateur MMA as well as women s participation in the sport. No major events are lined-up for this year as we re aiming to consolidate and plan for an event in 2022. Our next course of action once travel is allowed is to continue the coaching development of local MMA coaches.
Australia MMA receive state funding for activity programme for children Thursday, 11 March 2021
Mixed martials arts in Australia has received state funding in New South Wales for its ActiveKids Programme, which aims to get school children involved in sport and active recreation.
Leading this initiative has been International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF)-qualified coach Julian Evans.
Parents, guardians and carers will receive two AUD$100 (£55/$77/€65) vouchers under the programme, one for each half of the year, for children towards the cost of sport.
The programme is now into its fourth year, which has seen 2.6 million vouchers redeemed.
The New South Wales Government support of the programme has led to its growing popularity in the Australian state, with customer satisfaction rating currently standing at 99.8 per cent.
