South Africa’s Chief Justice, Mogoeng Mogoeng, is refusing to apologize for comments last year supporting Israel even after a judicial body ordered him to do so, and even wrote out the words of the apology that he was ordered to offer.
As Breitbart News noted in June 2020, Mogoeng revealed during a live webinar hosted by the
Jerusalem Post that he was pro-Israel, unlike much of South Africa’s political and media elite. He revealed that the prayed for the “peace of Jerusalem.”
Mogoeng added: “I cannot, as a Christian, do anything other than love and pray for Israel because I know hatred for Israel by me and my nation can only attract unprecedented curses upon our nation.” His comments caused an uproar in South Africa, whose ruling party, the African National Congress, has adopted an anti-Israel stance and has supported calls to boycott the Jewish state. “This Passover, we are returning to normalcy, returning all the happiness and joy to the citizens of Jerusalem and of course to the visitors we are expecting to come here,” Ariela Rejwam, executive director for culture, sports and society in the Jerusalem Municipality, told The Media Line. “We are all extending a warm invitation to all Israeli citizens to come to the capital.”

Leaders of the Abrahamic faiths came together Monday for the inaugural Combat Anti-Semitism Movement (CAM) Summit to fight another global pandemic: anti-Semitism.
Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who received the CAM Global Leadership Award for fighting hatred against Jews, celebrated the US-brokered Abraham Accords, the normalization agreements signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco, and attributed their implementation to the US leaving the Iran nuclear deal.
Leaders within the Abrahamic faith traditions also discussed their own initiatives and reasons for getting involved in the battle against the anti-Semitism.
