LOOK: New normal style hero s welcome greets boxing champ Ancajas

(Ariel Fernandez / MANILA BULLETIN) Philippine Navy officers comprised most of Ancajas’s well-wishers, who obviously had to adhere to minimum public health standards (MPHS) during the simple event. The MPHS include the wearing of face masks, face shields, and observing physical distancing. Ancajas arrived at the Ninoy Aquino ainternational Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 from the United States (US) via Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight. The 29-year-old champion boxer is also a senior chief petty officer of the Philippine Navy Reserve Command. It was only last April 11 when Ancajas dropped his foe, Jonathan Rodriguez en route to a unanimous decision win during his latest outing at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, US.
