An international arrest warrant issued for a terrorist convicted in the 2001 suicide bombing at Sbarro restaurant in Jerusalem that killed 15 people has been dropped, according to Arab media sources.
The International Criminal Police Organization, commonly known as Interpol, appears to have abandoned its pursuit of Ahlam Tamimi, who orchestrated the bombing at the popular pizzeria.

TUNIS The 23rd Arab Conference recommended the importance of strengthening Arab cooperation relations and security cooperation in facing terrorism and limiting its repercussions in the Arab region.
The conference, which was held virtually and organized by the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, called for sustaining all measures that would reduce the recruitment of children by terrorist groups, and agreed to establish a team of Arab experts to be tasked with monitoring, exchanging and analyzing the information on the terrorist threats.

Tamimi, a member of the Hamas terrorist organization, was responsible for the murders of 15 people, including eight children, in the bombing of the Sbarro Pizza restaurant in Jerusalem in 2001. Another 130 people were injured in the bombing, including one person who remains in a vegetative state. Two US nationals were among the dead in the attack.

INTERPOL to drop warrant for Ahlam Al-Tamimi March 13, 2021 at 12:40 pm
A Jordanian newspaper confirmed on Thursday that the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) has dropped the arrest warrant against the freed Palestinian prisoner Ahlam Al-Tamimi.
Al-Ghad newspaper stated that INTERPOL s decision came after the US Department of Justice included Al-Tamimi on its terrorism list on charges of participating in the bombing of an Israeli restaurant in 2001, during which two US nationals were killed.
The newspaper published a document it said was issued by INTERPOL, in which the organisation announced that Al-Tamimi, born on 20 October, 1980, is no longer subject to an INTERPOL notice since the date of the document s issuance.
