The International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP) expressed its “shock and mourning” on the death of nine persons and the arrest of six other individuals during the military and police operations in four provinces in the Southern Tagalog Region.
In a statement issued by ICHRP Chairperson Peter Murphy, the coalition said:
“These state-sanctioned killings and arrests should be known to the world. The UN (United Nations) bodies should know, the world should know that Duterte’s words lead directly to murder of Filipinos. He’s out for blood.”
Murphy was referring to President Duterte’s order on March 5 to “kill them all; finish them; don’t mind human rights.”
