United Airlines pledged (10-Dec-2020) to reduce 100% of its greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
In order to reduce emissions, United will make a multimillion dollar investment in 1PointFive, a partnership between Oxy Low Carbon Ventures and Rusheen Capital Management that utilises atmospheric carbon capture technology (called Direct Air Capture) to physically remove CO2 from the air.

It divided time into the pre-COVID-19 period and the period in which we are forced to exist in the same space as the deadly virus. All other events in this space and time have become completely different.

Lesotho: Govt in Race Against Time to Avert Airport Closure - Lesupi

MOSHOESHOE I International Airport, the country s only international airport, faces forced closure by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
ICAO is unhappy with the government s failure to maintain high standards at the airport. The facilities are run down and in a state of disrepair.
The government has until next year to refurbish the airport to prevent its closure. This week Lesotho Times (LT) Senior Reporter Pascalinah Kabi sat down with the Director of Civil Aviation, Motsoale Lesupi to find out what needs to be done and when the government will have refurbished the airport to meet international standards.

Under Executive Order No. 122, the President designated the Bureau of Immigration (BI) as the sole government agency to receive or manage the API containing information about the passengers and crew and non-crew members.
The API will serve as “initial security vetting” to expedite arrival and departure process of travelers and may be shared with other law enforcement agencies for security purposes. The information collected in the API includes data related to flight number, arrival and departure times as well as the passenger’s name, date of birth, gender, citizenship and travel document data found in the passport.
