A total of 15 academics from Sri Lanka have been ranked among the top two percent of scientists around the world, in a recent global study conducted by Stanford University in the US.
The paper from Stanford University, was published in the journal PLoS Biology on October 8 2020. This study has classified all scientists based on their career-long citation impact until the end of 2019. Citation impact is a measure of the number of times the work of a researcher (journal, article or book) is cited by other authors and articles.
